Course Description:
This course is designed to provide an introduction to administrators of the Vantage Service Manager product. Through a mix of lecture and hands-on exercises, you will learn how to effectively administrate Vantage Service Manager. This includes setup Vantage Service Manager, service model configuration, data integration, dashboard configuration, and notification administration for the Vantage Service Manager solution.

Prerequisites:
Attendees should have the following background for this course:
- Good general OS knowledge, Unix and Windows
- Good knowledge of database technology
- Good understanding of modern large enterprise software architectures like J2EE, RDBMS, Web technologies, messaging
- Scripting experience in at least one of the following languages PERL, shell script, JavaScript or any other comparable language is preferable
- Working knowledge of concepts of Systems Management tools and Service Desk Solutions
