CICS programmers will learn how to use Xpediter/CICS, which gives them complete control over the execution of application code, trapping of abends and access to data files and CICS storage, including tables and DSECTs. Including how to control the execution of a program and monitor its status at any time, how to set breakpoints to suspend execution (with or without conditions), change the program logic flow, intercept abends or storage violations and many other functions-all without leaving the test session or recompiling. Hands-on workshops reinforce the presented materials.

Learn how to use Xpediter/DevEnterprise to quickly understand and build complex applications. From a single interface, users can work on a mainframe application from the PC workstation. Hands-on workshops reinforce the use of the suite of tools.

• Metadata Analyzer that offers graphical system analysis
• Program Analyzer that offers color-coded graphical program analysis, advanced diagnostics and metrics
  
• Impact Analysis to quickly identify fields of interest and follow their flow as well as the impact from any potential application change
  
• Code Coverage verification capabilities with supporting documentation working in conjunction with Xpediter/Code Coverage
  
• Code-splitting functionality that helps developers create logical components.

Learn how to debug existing programs which run, but produce incorrect results, or which terminate abnormally. This course features an interactive "walk-through", followed by a workshop to reinforce the materials presented.

Learn how to facilitate testing of date and time sensitive programs using the Xpediter/Xchange product to simulate date and/or time changes. Students will learn how to use interfaces (ISPF, Xpediter/TSO, Batch JCL and the CICS Transaction) to set the values for any date and time. The Xpediter/Xchange System Journal also is covered.
