This hands-on course introduces you to the use of OptimalJ. The course focuses on building applications with OptimalJ and is targeted to designers and application developers. You will practice with OptimalJ Professional Edition and learn how to create, test, deploy and integrate applications.
The course covers Platform Independent Models, Platform Specific Models, Business and Presentation Rules, testing and deployment, as well as integration. This course takes you through a series of examples and exercises to help get the most out of OptimalJ.

Prerequisites:
The active learning model "Introduction" is required. You should be familiar with Java language, basic enterprise Java and UML. Familiarity with the following technologies is recommended:
- Enterprise JavaBeans
- JavaServer Pages
- Object-oriented design patterns
- Model Driven Architecture.
