Course Description:
This course teaches you how to manipulate and manage data for application development, analysis testing and maintenance. The course covers capabilities of File-AID/CS including data transformation, reformatting and related subsetting of test data; spreadsheet-style editing and browsing of data in the major relational databases (Oracle, Sybase, Microsoft SQL Server and DB2 UDB); creation and modification of data which can be used for applications tested with QACenter products; data comparison and test data validation.
In addition, the course covers topics such as: comparing and creating XML data streams, extracting and loading data from one client/server environment to another, and transferring data from a mainframe to a client/server environment for testing. The course also contains a product function that will enable users to enforce application integrity. Hands-on workshops will reinforce the information presented.

Prerequisites:
Attendees should have the following background for this course:
- Working knowledge of Windows NT or higher; basic familiarity with database design and architecture
