The collection of personal data

Registration: Registration is required, before accessing the site.  If you wish to subscribe, we may request such personal information as name, title, company, physical address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, language, informational preferences, topics of interest, etc. Compuware will not request more information than is reasonably necessary to provide requested information or services. Compuware assumes all information will be true, accurate, current, non-misleading, consistent and relevant.


The use of information collected

General: Compuware will record and collect information about how you may use the site. This may include such data as a domain name, language, type of browser and operating system, Internet Service Provider, Internet protocol (IP) address, the web site from which you arrived at the site, and the amount of time spent on the site.   Compuware may monitor and use usage data in aggregated form to measure the web site’s performance and activity and improve the web site’s design and functionality. Compuware may also use usage data in non-aggregated form to investigate and prosecute security violations.

Compuware online communications: Compuware will use personally identifiable data to communicate special promotions, events and announcements.  Should you wish not to receive promotional material from Compuware, you are offered the option to opt-out from future communications.


The use of cookies

A "cookie" is a small file that your web browser places on your computer's hard drive to store important data. A cookie cannot be executed as code or deliver viruses. Cookies save you time by enabling your browser to keep track of information such as passwords and account information. In some cases, the cookies that we use will expire after 365 days. In most instances the cookies are session cookies, and will expire as soon as you close your browser.

Rejecting cookies: Compuware online technical support sites requires the use of cookies. If you reject cookies then you will be prohibited from utilizing the support options.

We provide the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from Compuware at the point where we request information about you and in each instance when you receive material from us. If you have difficulty in opting-out in this manner, please contact us and provide your name, e-mail address and subscription you wish to cancel.
